I received my invitation letter yesterday. But when I submitted my email address as step 1 descriped, I got an error message.
Anyone could help? Thank you!

If it's not either of those things, can you contact the store support team hlstorehelp@microsoft.com or call 866-425-4709 (Choose option 3) please?

I am sure I used the same Microsoft Account indicated in your invitation email, and there is no extra space.
I called 866-425-4709, and got the answer that I should wait for 48 hours so that they could check my personal profile.
