Load model Fbx file at run time
Hi, I am new to Unity. I am wondering if I can build a Hololens App that load model Fbx file at runtime. Suppose I have a website stores all kinds of 3D hologram (Fbx or other files). Can my Hololens App load one of the, visualize it based on user's request at runtime?

Technically, it could be done. It might be alittle more work to use an fbx because you have to convert it to a unity mesh yourself. The unity wiki has an obj importer which might be a simplier way to go (http://wiki.unity3d.com/index.php/ObjImporter). Or parse the fbx before hand and put them in assetbundles.
Hi Fireman ! Have you find a solution for this? I have the same need on my side.
@Fireman @HoloJo did you get any success on this?
@Adamcbrz can you please provide more detail on ObjImporter like how do I use this...?

Please Help .. Thanks in advance..
Hi. I’ve came up with a solution that can load 50+ different 3D file formats on Unity runtime and editor:

Before people open their wallets, author has stated in email that above asset does not support UWP (at present).
