can I use a dp extension cable to extend my headset?

cable from computer to headset is a bit short. can i use dp extension cable between supplied cable and headset

    What device are you talking about? I presume by DP you mean Display Port which implies a non-HoloLens device. However, if you're using HoloLens, there is no problem using an extension USB cable. In fact this is a permanent part of my development hardware kit. A proper 3m sturdy male-to-female USB cable so I can walk around the room while running a debug session in Visual Studio.
