No graphics output

The PC I`m using meets the specs for running my HP Mixed Reality Headset which arrived today.

The Mixed Reality Portal works fine, it tracks the movements of the MR Headset, I even have sound coming out of it when earphones are plugged in. But there are no graphics coming out of it.

Initially I encountered challenges because the GeForce 970 I`m using has a single mini-HDMI 2.0 output. I brought a mini-HDMI to HDMI connector to get around this to begin with. No joy because I had to choose between monitor or MR Headset when trying to configure it and the headset gave no graphics output.

So then I took a spare HDMI cable and used it to connect my integrated graphics with the Monitor thinking I could see what I was doing with the MR Headset onscreen. The Mixed Reality Portal worked fine with that but still no graphics coming out of the MR Headset.

So I have reduced it down to either:
1. Faulty headset.
2. The mini-HDMI to HDMI connector wasn't good enough.
3. Integrated graphics being used at the same time as dedicated graphics stops the MR headset from working.

I have a mini-display port to HDMI cable coming, a female to female HDMI connector that states it can handle 18gps at 4k coming, and I am hoping one of these will fix it. I dont want to buy a new graphics card with 2 x full sized HDMI sockets on in case that isn't the problem.

Advice please?
