Holograms 240 (Chapter 3) - Why is the EnergyHub hologram not responding to the tap?

I was working on Chapter 3 of the Holograms 240 lesson, where I was running SharingService.exe and have the app deployed to the HoloLens from Visual Studio 2017 Community through Device under Release mode and x86 architecture. For some reason, even after running the app for one minute, using the tap gesture does not set the EnergyHub hologram in its place.

What I did so far was reading through some of the other posts made here, where one of them involved enabling the InternetClient capability through the Player Settings in Unity. I also checked the Auto Discover Server checkbox for the Sharing Stage script in the Sharing prefab object, and tried both localhost and the actual IP address SharingService.exe displays while running as the Server Address field in that prefab as well. Unfortunately, I cannot disable Windows Firewall that's turned on, and I am not allowed to share information about what physical environment I'm in, along with details of the Internet connection I'm using. In addition, I can't deploy the app to the HoloLens with Remote Machine selected even if I am using the IP address the HoloLens displays through the Settings app; a connection error occurs in doing so.

As far as I know and from what I can tell, SharingService.exe is simply a server program where it registers HoloLens headsets to share a hologram to these headsets through their IP addresses.

Why is the EnergyHub app not placed nor animating when I use the tap gesture?
