Cortana stopped recording voice via mic

It's been working fine, have taken many recordings and no issues with recording voice.

Today noticed no voice in any recordings started with 'Hey Cortana, Start Recording'.

For instance during a Cortana recording, can start a skype call to the Echo Service and record a message and play it back and the playback audio is captured in the recording, and obviously skype heard the voice, but the Cortana recording doesn't capture the voice just the skype playback.

Using the Windows Device Portal's Mixed Reality Capture does capture voice in the recording fine. So no changes there, working as it always has.

Seems like something to do with Cortana or permissions for the mic. Have not yet reset the hololens, as everything but this seems to be working fine. Checked Settings>Privacy>Microphone and all looks fine.

I've found that if audio is disabled from the device portal, this affects voice capture. Opening device portal and adding audio back on the mixed capture page, enables audio without a device reset.
