Legal situation for using Hololens while driving

Hi everyone. We are currently testing the Hololens, brainstorming about beneficial use cases and trying to implement some of them. Is there already any experience or knowledge about the legal situation for using the Hololens while driving on public streets? I am especially interested in the Situation in Germany. Did Microsoft check this case?

Hello, this is not something we encourage :) You can find our health and safety document here. "Do not use HoloLens when a full field of view and attention are needed for safety, such as while operating a vehicle or doing other potentially hazardous activities." :) Let me know if you have any other questions,
    Vanessa

In the U.K. under England and Wales law of Road Traffic Act.
It is an offence to use ANY electronic device which could distract you from driving.

The main example being watching a TV set with DVD playing whilst driving, holding or touching a mobile phone which driving.

Therefore is HoloLens is electronic device so NO, the display would be described in the same way as a TV set or monitor.

Oh yes Germany, the laws are even stricter, the Fines are much bigger and if you have an accident the jail prison terms are very long!
