So @motus there is a lot more to the processor which is used in laptops from the likes of Dell.
Interestingly the Dell laptop validated by Dell for Windows Mixed Reality was a high end top range laptop without an Xenon. Therefore avoiding these problems.
Hi @motus,
I am from the Microsoft team. I use a Xeon processor on my main Windows Mixed Reality device, and it works very well. Thus, I can confirm that at least one Xeon processor in the world works.
However, as @Jimbohalo10 pointed out, the AVX instruction needs to be supported. Some Xeon processors have the support, while others do not.
The simplest way to verify whether this processor can be used with Windows Mixed Reality is to use the free Windows Store app that checks the CPU. You can get the app here: https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/store/p/windows-mixed-reality-pc-check/9nzvl19n7cnc
