Billboarding in Hololens Emulator
Hello guys,
Is it possible to use the billboarding in the hololens emulator?
I followed the instructions of the holoacademy tutorials https://developer.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/mixed-reality/holograms_210#chapter_5_-_billboarding and I attached the billboard script to a cube. When I gaze around in the emulator the object didn't follow and is always static. I also attached the script to the astronaut prefab but he didn't follow the gaze.
Did i miss something in the editor?
Greez,
Chris

It should work in the emulator. Maybe I misunderstood you but, the billboard script doesn't follow your gaze, only your position. So if you walk across the room and you look where the object is it should be facing you or the transform you set it to billboard. If you are looking for a script to follow your gaze you should look at tagalong.cs

I'm not sure if that tutorial has it where you can move in the emulator but, if you have the input manager prefab in your scene from the MRTK (Under Assets -> HoloToolKit -> Input -> Prefabs) you should be able to move with the wasd keys. You can also do this in the editor as well. It contains a lot of other useful scripts also.
