The Mixed Reality Forums here are no longer being used or maintained.
There are a few other places we would like to direct you to for support, both from Microsoft and from the community.
The first way we want to connect with you is our mixed reality developer program, which you can sign up for at https://aka.ms/IWantMR.
For technical questions, please use Stack Overflow, and tag your questions using either hololens or windows-mixed-reality.
If you want to join in discussions, please do so in the HoloDevelopers Slack, which you can join by going to https://aka.ms/holodevelopers, or in our Microsoft Tech Communities forums at https://techcommunity.microsoft.com/t5/mixed-reality/ct-p/MicrosoftMixedReality.
And always feel free to hit us up on Twitter @MxdRealityDev.
Replace Headband
The support link is broken so I'll post here.
The plastic at the front of the headband cracked at some point. It's being heald together by the padding piece. It looks like the headband is attached by two star screws. Any chance of getting a replacement headband piece?

We reached out in reference to one of our headbands breaking and they said they'll repair it in the US for $3,956... which is more than the developer edition hololens.
Here is their full response:
We do not have any paid repair options available for the device, regretfully the only options I can provide are the following:
Out of Warranty Replacement Offering: Currently only offered in the United States, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, and the UK. I can provide pricing depending on the region. Please note this price is generally more than a standard developer edition device, but less than a commercial suite. The replacement will include a 90 Day Limited Warranty.
Purchase New Device: Alternatively, you would need to purchase a new device. Commercial Suite devices ship with a 1-year limited warranty.

Two part epoxy it is!
This is insane. You pay freaking 3.5k bucks and have to pay even MORE to get this peace of rubbish repaired.
We had the same problem. I pulled on the band to get it over my head and it snapped. We're still several weeks deep into customer support but in the meantime I made a repair kit using additive manufacturing. So if you have access to a 3D Printer you can try my Hololens Repair Kit over at Thingiverse.
