The Mixed Reality Forums here are no longer being used or maintained.
There are a few other places we would like to direct you to for support, both from Microsoft and from the community.
The first way we want to connect with you is our mixed reality developer program, which you can sign up for at https://aka.ms/IWantMR.
For technical questions, please use Stack Overflow, and tag your questions using either hololens or windows-mixed-reality.
If you want to join in discussions, please do so in the HoloDevelopers Slack, which you can join by going to https://aka.ms/holodevelopers, or in our Microsoft Tech Communities forums at https://techcommunity.microsoft.com/t5/mixed-reality/ct-p/MicrosoftMixedReality.
And always feel free to hit us up on Twitter @MxdRealityDev.
I just got a free set of mixed reality controllers, but I don't have a headset.
Was I supposed to also get a headset? I tried searching trough the store to see if they sell HMDs without controllers and they don't seem to.
If they do sell them separately, are there any student discounts? I'm currently short on cash due to Christmas so any discounts would be great.
If this was a mistake, to what address should I send them back?

@josemiralles I am not a member of Microsoft or the Microsoft Store but I can confirm that Microsoft has given away free Mixed Reality Controllers to Developer forum related customers who have been purchasing and adopting the use of the new MR technology.... I can only assume you have bought products recently and as a forum member on this site you were eligible to receive one. Try contacting Microsoft Store if you think you should not receive one.... Microsoft is trying to encourage all developers to experiment & assist in bringing this technology to the consumer market.

@josemiralles - I know this thread is probably long past dead, but did you happen to pre-order a developer edition Acer or HP headset and then cancel your order?
Could it be related to this? https://forums.hololens.com/discussion/9732/anyone-know-the-critera-for-the-free-motion-controllers-from-microsoft#latest
