Do I use my Kinect v2 camera for instead of HoloLens camera ??
I am currently exploring HoloLens , I come across situation that need develop application for mixed reality application , but currently I don’t have Physical HoloLens , Do I use my Kinect v2 camera for instead of HoloLens camera ??

You will want to use the emulator for development. This won't let you view the augmented portion of the Hololens, which can make some aspects difficult, but you can work with the spatial data via sample rooms.

Thank you all for your support, now I feel, I am not alone, But my question Remains same, Can I use for emulator along Kinect camera instead of HoloLens camera ? , I am understand I may miss augmentation but mean while I will get physical HoloLens or I done my primary documentation on API over view I did not Dynamic object tracking is not available, so that I need simulate object tracking using Kinect, I am not observe any functionality related this scenario on HoloLens developer documentation , I am planning to use either Point cloud Library if this kind of functionality not available , give me your suggestion

As @Jarrod1937 mentioned, the HoloLens Emulator is the tool you will want to use.
The emulator is documented here, including information on the included room simulations. I also recommend taking a look at the Advanced emulator input page.

Hi @Gopi,
While Kinect and HoloLens share similar hardware capabilities, the APIs are very different. HoloLens does not do object tracking and you do not have access to underlying data streams on the HoloLens like you do on Kinect. Room data is returned at a much higher-level, as a collection of meshes, instead of as depth points. While you could convert the mesh to a point cloud, it will require additional processing steps that might be costly on HoloLens.
Overall, the Kinect is not a valid substitute for HoloLens, because developing for both systems is quite different. The Kinect was designed to stay in one location and works best if it does not have to move around, while the HoloLens is meant to be worn on the head and constantly moves around with the user. I would only suggest mixing the Emulator and Kinect if you plan on writing an application that requires both a HoloLens and a Kinect.
