Getting "Limited Mode" or "Scanning" message a lot

I seem to be increasingly seeing the message that HoloLens is trying to map my surroundings or I need to enter "limited mode". Normally, this only has happened if I am in a dark room - but it seems like it's starting to happen even in seemingly well-lit rooms. Has anyone else experienced this?

@runamuck are these new rooms that you are taking that device in for the first time or are they room that the device has had frequent, recent and comprehensive exposure to and is more likely to have previous spatial mapping data for?

The last few times were new rooms. For example, I'll launch my app and in the middle of it running it pops up with that message that it needs to scan my room - then a moment later the app returns and it's running.

@runamuck besides dark environments, exploring new environments is also where I have seen that behavior by HoloLens devices that have not spent a lot of time in the new rooms in question.

One way to avoid that might be to build a custom scanning experience if your application involves a lot of user exploration.
