Adding desktop window to WMR app (Unity + WMR + UWP)

Hi - our team has built a VR training application that was originally built for SteamVR using Unity. We are in the processing of converting it to a Windows Mixed Reality app to be distributed on the Microsoft App store. We're running into one issue.

Our app requires the user to login in using an email and password. This is the first screen of the application, and to date we've had it be a Desktop login screen that upon successful authentication then prompts the user to "Enter VR". At that point, the app connects to the headset and proceeds as so.

When using SteamVR this wasn't an issue. We were able to specify easily in our app which Unity Scenes were VR and which were not. However, when building with the Windows Mixed Reality Headset, we run into an error that says UNREACHABLE when trying to switch from the Login Screen (which is appearing) and entering VR mode.

Has anyone successfully built a WMR app that switches between VR mode and a Desktop window interface? We believe that the "UNREACHABLE" error has something to do with the headset, however, our other guess is that we are attempting to authenticate against a cloud hosted API, and that HTTPS call being made requires a permission we are not setting correctly.

    When the error occurs which API are you calling with?
    Could you share the screenshot of error with us?
