Low controller update frequency and accuracy?

Compared to other devices the controllers seem to have a low update frequency (position). I am using a Lenovo Explorer and a very cheap USB 2.0 dongle. Also the rotation is not very accurate. Sometimes holding them further away from me seem to help.
One of the controllers has a weird rumble so i am going to return that one, but this happens to both of them.
