HoloLens Emulator Stuck OS is starting...

OK, I have tried every conceivable thing I could find to try and fix this issue short of completely refreshing my install of Windows 10. I cannot get the HoloLens Emulator 10.0.14393.0 to start in VS.

This just started happening out of the blue on my Surface Book after installing Anniversary Update.

I have tried

  1. Deleting the Hyper-V VMs/Virtual Switches/ Runnding XDECleanup
  2. Setting the XDE allowed in the firewall & disabling the firewall
  3. Uninstalling all emulators, reinstalling
  4. Installed the latest updates to VS
  5. Set the network connections for Hyper-V to "Private" instead of "Public" Network Category
  6. (Reboot many times - of course)
  7. Disabled use of the physical GPU in Hyper-V for remotefx

I am at a loss for what else to try. I really do not want to wipe my OS and start over if possible.

Mine takes an extremely long time to boot as well but eventually it comes up. I stop the build process, and wait for it to come up. I believe it's checking the gpu for capabilities. If you have a dGPU on the surface book, then goto the NVidia control panel and tell it to use the integrated graphics for the XDE.exe app. This should make it start a lot faster.
