Error 80004005 Windows update for Windows 10
I have a problem to update my Windows 8.1 to Windows 10. When I'm trying to update, the computer restart, try to install Windows 10 the restart again but it's always Windows 8.1.
And when I look into the Windows update, updates fails with the error code 80004005 and again download Windows 10. I tried many times but always getting the same error. I tried to fix the error by running the Windows Troubleshooter, this helps to fix some problem but the update fails again.

This upgrade path had been free for 378 days.
However all is not lost download update toolThen install Windows Insider update Download Windows 10 ISO for USB
IGNORE the requirement for entry of licence activation code by clicking "Skip" to all the legal requirement until you have to click "yes" to the 90days trial update conditions. If you get a multi-partition space creation error, you many have to try and run the update from USB1:\setup.exe, otherwise the hidden partition will be created.
If all else fails you will need to boot from USB and wipe your hard disk and clean install
You will probably need an 8GB USB. Login with your MSA/WSA account and add the feature "Windows Insider Hub", then in "Settings" join Windows Insider.
Once you have installed the Insider update you will just need to keep updating.
The Windows 10 will go on for as long as you are an Insider. This is useful as HoloLens is always far ahead of RTM/retail version. Take the SLOW path for more stability
From the official site:-
Error code 0x80004005
This problem may occur if a file that the Windows Product Activation (WPA) requires is damaged or missing.5

Thanks for the answer. I'll try to download the update again..
Hello lorein, it is found that many users are getting this error generally when the Window 10 is not activated properly or the license copy is not legitimate, so try to fix the error 0x80004005 by following the steps given below:
