Hello everyone.

The Mixed Reality Forums here are no longer being used or maintained.

There are a few other places we would like to direct you to for support, both from Microsoft and from the community.

The first way we want to connect with you is our mixed reality developer program, which you can sign up for at https://aka.ms/IWantMR.

For technical questions, please use Stack Overflow, and tag your questions using either hololens or windows-mixed-reality.

If you want to join in discussions, please do so in the HoloDevelopers Slack, which you can join by going to https://aka.ms/holodevelopers, or in our Microsoft Tech Communities forums at https://techcommunity.microsoft.com/t5/mixed-reality/ct-p/MicrosoftMixedReality.

And always feel free to hit us up on Twitter @MxdRealityDev.

I'm having the same problem with the HP VR headset

I fixed my problem by moving the USB plug to another slot during the set-up. Don't ask me how that works.

Its all about the USB 3.0 being confused change ports it works as a workaround.
The code is different 2181038087-5 but as usual it is in HEXadecimal and one is decimal.

For me the problem was LogMeIn.

I struggled with this error and even went so far as to do a clean Windows 10 install. This worked, of course, but then I started getting the same message again. a couple of days later.

I started uninstalling things one-at-a-time until I removed LogMeIn and then it started working again. I think it specifically had something to do with installing the screen blanking plug-in for LogMeIn, because that seems to have been when it started generating the error.

In any case, it is still working after a couple of days. Hopefully this information helps.
