I've spent the past few hours scouring the internet trying to find a fix for this error and nothing is working. My PC has a fresh install of windows, the updates are all updated, my graphics drivers are all updated... I've restarted the MR Portal numerous times, restarted my PC, etc.
Any help/info would be greatly appreciated.

looks like this error has been quite the issue

If you have downloaded all the windows and video driver updates....
1) Have you installed any KB updates manually? if so uninstall them
2) Are any updates being blocked?
3) Confirm that you are using Windows 10 Version 1709, the Fall Creator's Update, version 16299.64 or newer and Mixed Reality headset driver (10.0.16299.1042 or newer
4) Do you have a registry entry for HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\Oasis\FODVersion
If none of these apply to you, .... I think the post from deanop74 here "could" possibly the most useful, but it is for the enterprise version of windows...

It goes into a link on manually reinstalling mixed reality so that a FODVersion registry entry would appear so that the WMR software would work

Though I am not anyone official, just a person searching on the internet
